Render Rises Amid AI Token Rally, but Long Downtrend Remains
Render surged by 19% to $1.83 on September 21, 2026, making it the second strongest asset in the upper market segment after Sui. This move is part of a broader AI token rally, with Bittensor also gaining around 14%. However, Render's figures come from its own network and can be independently tracked.
The Render Network allows users to rent distributed GPU capacity through the network instead of buying hardware, paying in RENDER tokens. The project sets itself apart from other AI cryptocurrencies by having a service that people draw on and a trackable metric: the quantity of rendered images. This figure currently stands at around 77 million frames.
Render's technical foundation is Solana, which added 7.6% to its value on September 21. The capital rotation into applications of the Solana ecosystem partly explains Render's price increase.
The growth in the AI subnets handling specialised computing tasks and the burn of around 1.16 million RENDER tokens permanently reducing supply are two other factors supporting the Render price. Institutional providers also contribute to the project's value, with Grayscale assigning a good 21% share in its fund for decentralised AI.
