Republican Senator Demands Probe into Crypto Ties of Trump and Biden Sons

A Republican senator in the US has called for an investigation into the crypto business dealings of Donald Trump Jr. and Hunter Biden, the sons of former President Joe Biden and current President Donald Trump.

Utah Senator John Curtis sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee leadership urging a review of whether presidential family relationships were used as channels for private financial gain or preferential treatment by domestic and foreign stakeholders.

Curtis specifically took issue with Trump Jr.'s crypto-related activities, including promoting a family-backed crypto business and serving as an adviser to a prediction-market platform overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He also cited Trump Jr.'s receipt of a wedding gift from Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev.

Hunter Biden's significant business ties with foreign companies are also a concern, Curtis argued. Both men should be investigated to determine whether their relationship to the president was used as a source of value or perceived that way.
