Revolut Brings Euro Stablecoin to Europe Amid Wider Rollout Plans
Revolut has launched its first euro-denominated stablecoin, EURR, in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal as part of a wider European rollout expected later this year. The token is issued by Bridge, which was acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion in 2025, under the EU's MiCA framework.
Bridge Building S.A., the issuer's Luxembourg entity, holds the reserves and redeems EURR at €1.00 per token. Revolut began rolling out the token to a select group of customers ahead of its wider launch, which will eventually cover the entire European Economic Area (EEA).
Revolut's Head of Crypto and New Bets, Emil Urmanshin, said that EURR connects 80 million Revolut customers directly to on-chain finance. The token is available through Revolut X, the firm's standalone exchange, as well as Ethereum and Polygon.
The public offer for EURR opened on August 20, with support for additional networks planned, including Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Injective, TON, and Sui. Additional currency-denominated stablecoins are also in development through separate regulatory pathways.
