Revolut Data Breach Exposes Sensitive Customer Info
Revolut has confirmed that it has not received any ransom demands after reports of a data breach surfaced. According to the company, there has been no direct contact with the group claiming responsibility for the incident.
The affected customers were notified that their personal and financial records, including Bitcoin transaction histories, may have been shared following a potentially fraudulent government request. The disclosed data includes identity documents, contact details, IBANs, and account records.
ZachXBT, an onchain investigator, believes the incident targeted high-net-worth users but was likely limited in size. He estimated that about 680 customers were affected by the breach.
