Revolut Launches EURR Euro Stablecoin via Stripe's Bridge
Revolut has launched its first euro stablecoin, EURR, on the Ethereum network via Stripe's Bridge. The company claims that this is a significant step in making on-chain finance accessible to its users, with EURR being available to around 2 million customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal.
The EURR coin is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a stablecoin infrastructure company acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion in February 2025. The token is backed by reserves managed by Bridge under the EU's MiCA regulations and will be available on other networks as well.
Revolut has also announced that it will delist Tether's USDT from its platform, citing its own MiCA crypto-asset service provider license. This move comes after several other exchanges, including Coinbase and Kraken, removed USDT for European users in the past year.
