Revolut Rolls Out EURR Stablecoin for Select Customers
Revolut has started rolling out its EURR stablecoin to selected customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The new token gives eligible users a euro-denominated balance within Revolut's crypto offering.
EURR is an electronic money token (EMT) under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). MiCA sets rules for stablecoin issuers around authorisation, governance, disclosure, reserves, and redemption. The requirements have changed the stablecoins available to European crypto customers.
Bridge Building S.A., an electronic money institution authorised in Luxembourg, issues the EURR token. Revolut's official EURR disclosure identifies Bridge as the issuer, while Revolut acts as the offeror and admits it to trading on the Revolut X platform.
