Revolut Unveils EURR Stablecoin for Euro-Based Users
Revolut has launched its first euro-denominated stablecoin, EURR, to select customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The wider European Economic Area rollout is expected later this year.
The token, branded as Revolut Euro, is issued by Luxembourg-based Bridge Building S.A. and managed by Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd. This structure separates the stablecoin's issuance and reserve management from customer distribution.
EURR launched on Ethereum and Polygon, with plans to support other networks including Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Injective, TON, and Sui.
Revolut aims to connect 80 million customers directly to on-chain finance through EURR. According to Emil Urmanshin, Head of Crypto and New Bets at Revolut, 'EURR connects 80 million Revolut customers directly to on-chain finance.'
