Riot Platforms has repaid its $200 million Coinbase credit facility ahead of schedule, freeing up its Bitcoin holdings from collateral.

The facility was set to mature in April 2027 and carried a 6.15% fixed annual interest rate. Riot fully drew the facility by 2026 and had 5,821 BTC pledged against it at June 30, representing more than half of its total Bitcoin holdings.

The repayment removes debt and releases security interests attached to the facility, allowing Riot to use its Bitcoin treasury in new ways. The company is shifting towards project-specific data center financing and has already demonstrated how it can fund expansion through Bitcoin sales.
