Riot Platforms has made headlines by repaying its $200 million Bitcoin-backed credit facility from Coinbase Credit ahead of schedule. The company paid off the principal and accrued interest without incurring an early-termination penalty, effectively ending the facility before its maturity date in April 2027.

The facility had a revised fixed annual interest rate of 6.15%, which translates to approximately $12.3 million in annual interest. Riot Platforms had pledged 5,821 BTC under the facility as collateral, valued at around $340.7 million as of June 30, 2026.

This repayment marks a significant move by Riot Platforms, demonstrating its ability to manage its finances and navigate complex financial arrangements. By repaying the facility early, the company has not only avoided potential risks but also potentially saved on interest payments.
