Riot Repays $200M Coinbase Credit Facility, Releases Collateral
Riot Platforms has completed repayment of its $200 million credit facility from Coinbase Credit, according to a recent filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The Bitcoin miner paid off the remaining principal and interest on September 21.
The facility was secured by a pledge of Riot's financial assets, including BTC, USD Coin (USDC), and cash, which were held in custody by Coinbase Custody Trust Company.
Riot first entered into the credit agreement with Coinbase Credit on April 22, 2025. The company upsized it to $200 million on May 20, 2025, and fully drew down the funds for strategic initiatives, data-center capital expenditures, and general corporate purposes.
