Riot has repaid its $200 million bitcoin-backed loan from Coinbase Custody Trust, ending the facility on September 21. The repayment was voluntary and included all outstanding principal and accrued interest without any early termination fee or penalty.

The original loan carried a fixed annual interest rate of 6.15%, following an amendment in April 2026 that extended its maturity to April 20, 2027. Riot had fully drawn the facility and would have paid around $12.3 million in annual interest on a $200 million balance.

The loan was secured by 5,821 bitcoin pledged by Riot, valued at approximately $340.7 million as of June 30. This represented roughly 51% of its total holdings of 11,380 bitcoin at the time. The security interests were released concurrently with repayment.
