Riot Platforms has repaid its $200 million Bitcoin-backed credit facility from Coinbase Credit, freeing up nearly $341 million in cryptocurrency collateral. The repayment was made on September 21, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The loan, which initially borrowed $100 million in April 2025, was doubled to $200 million just one month later. An amendment in April 2026 replaced the floating interest rate with a fixed rate of 6.15% per annum.

Riot had pledged 5,821 Bitcoin, worth approximately $340.7 million, as collateral for the loan. This represented about 51% of its total Bitcoin holdings at the time.
