Ripio has expanded its stablecoin offerings in Latin America by launching six local currency-pegged stablecoins on the Celo blockchain.

The wFIAT stablecoins include the Argentine Peso (wARS), Brazilian Real (wBRL), Mexican Peso (wMXN), Colombian Peso (wCOP), Chilean Peso (wCLP), and Peruvian Sol (wPEN).

This integration enables users to access these digital currencies with no-cost on-/off-ramps, which is a significant step in expanding crypto accessibility across the region.

Celo has become a leader in stablecoin activity, boasting over $65 billion in stablecoin transaction volume and 1.3 billion lifetime transactions as of July 2026.
