Ripple Advances Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vault on XRP Ledger
Ripple has made significant strides in advancing its lending protocol and single asset vault on the XRP Ledger. The company voted in favor of amendments to enable fixed-term credit and institutional lending, as well as the creation of vaults for $XRP, $RLUSD, or other crypto assets. This move is expected to boost decentralized finance (DeFi) and tokenization on the blockchain.
The proposals, XLS-65 and XLS-66, are designed to provide a more secure and efficient way to manage digital assets. With the implementation of these features, users will be able to create vaults for specific assets and lend them out with fixed interest rates. This could lead to increased adoption of the XRP Ledger and provide new opportunities for financial institutions and investors.
The introduction of single asset vaults is also expected to enhance security and reduce the risk associated with managing multiple assets on a single platform. By separating each asset into its own vault, users can better manage their holdings and mitigate potential losses.
