Ripple and Brevan Howard Expand Partnership with Prime Brokerage Services
Ripple has deepened its partnership with Brevan Howard by introducing prime brokerage services for the global fund manager. Under the expanded agreement, Ripple Prime will offer clearing, financing, and multi-asset brokerage services. This move aligns with Ripple's strategy to strengthen its presence in institutional markets as digital and traditional finance become increasingly interconnected.
Ripple Prime will now provide selected Brevan Howard funds with comprehensive prime brokerage services through its unified institutional platform. These services include trade clearing, financing, and brokerage support across both traditional and digital asset markets. The arrangement aims to streamline Brevan Howard's trading operations by consolidating them under one infrastructure provider.
The expanded offering also includes access to cryptocurrencies like XRP and Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin. This integration allows participating Brevan Howard funds to manage digital assets alongside traditional assets through the same platform, reducing the need for separate systems. Both XRP and RLUSD are now part of a platform designed to bridge cryptocurrency markets with traditional financial services.
This agreement builds on Ripple and Brevan Howard’s existing financial ties. Affiliates connected to Brevan Howard participated in Ripple’s $500 million funding round last year, which valued the company at about $40 billion. The latest deal extends their relationship from investment activity into direct financial infrastructure and brokerage services, further solidifying Ripple’s push into institutional cryptocurrency services.
