Ripple and Brevan Howard Expand Prime Brokerage Partnership
Ripple and Brevan Howard have deepened their partnership, with Ripple Prime now offering expanded prime brokerage services to the global investment manager. Announced on October 6, 2026, the agreement grants Brevan Howard access to multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services across traditional and digital markets through a single platform. Ripple Prime, formed after Ripple's acquisition of Hidden Road in 2025, provides these services for institutional investors, including trade execution, clearing, financing, and risk management.
Noel Kimmel, President of Ripple Prime, highlighted the significance of the deal, stating that Brevan Howard’s trust in Ripple Prime reflects the platform’s strong competitive position and cross-asset capabilities. Alan McGroarty, Group COO of Brevan Howard, emphasized the growing need for institutional digital asset infrastructure, noting that Ripple’s platform offers increased operational ease and capital efficiency.
The expanded agreement builds on an existing financial relationship between the two companies. Funds managed by Brevan Howard affiliates participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment round in 2025, which valued Ripple at $40 billion. Ripple Prime currently serves over 300 institutional customers and clears more than $3 trillion annually across various markets. The announcement, however, did not specify whether Brevan Howard will use Ripple’s digital assets, XRP or RLUSD, as part of the new arrangement.
