Ripple Bolsters Quantum Resistance with XRP Ledger Upgrade Plans

Ripple is taking steps to make its XRP Ledger quantum-resistant, a move that could give it an edge over competitors and lead to increased adoption. The network's plan to be fully post-quantum by 2028 means it will leapfrog the predicted arrival of quantum computing in the 2030s.

The effort has already shown positive results, with liquidity on XRPL reaching a new record and its stablecoin market cap hitting an all-time high of $1.13 billion. The native stablecoin RLUSD leads the pack, with its market cap growing over 18% in the last month.

Ripple's UBRI has prioritized post-quantum cryptography as one of three research areas across more than 60 universities. This focus on quantum-resistant capabilities is expected to attract institutional adoption and secure XRPL's position in the market.
