Ripple Bolsters Tokenization Efforts with Strategic Investments in Zilo and Licuido

Ripple has made two strategic investments in companies that provide tokenization solutions. The blockchain-focused fintech firm invested in Zilo, which offers global transfer agency asset solutions for wealth managers, and Licuido, a UK-based company regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The financial details of these deals were not disclosed. However, it's reported that Zilo has raised $58.7 million in total equity funding. Ripple expects these investments to bring regulated transfer agency, issuance, and collateral mobility to its XRP Ledger infrastructure.

The company aims to address the issue of idle collateral by enabling tokenized funds to be used as collateral from the point of issuance. This move comes after London-based asset manager Aviva Investors launched a tokenized share class of its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on XRPL last week.
