Ripple CEO Brushes Off XRP Maximalist Label

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has pushed back on the idea that he only supports XRP. He stated, 'I'm not one of these people who's an XRP maximalist.'

Garlinghouse emphasized that he is bullish on multiple cryptocurrencies for various reasons and does not aim to convince anyone to buy XRP over other top coins like Solana.

The CEO highlighted the importance of solving real problems, such as cross-border payments, where XRP can be a useful tool. He pointed out that Ripple's goal is to facilitate payment flows, using XRP or stablecoins as necessary.

Ripple has been successful in its institutional business, minting a meaningful share of stablecoin-related volume and growing into one of the larger players in the market.
