Ripple CEO Cites Liquidity and Utility as Keys to XRP's Future Value
Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse shared his optimistic outlook on XRP, citing three key factors that drive a currency's value: trust, utility, and velocity. According to him, the most liquid currencies tend to become the most valuable ones because liquidity makes people want to hold an asset.
Garlinghouse emphasized that Ripple's focus is on growing demand for XRP by pushing more real usage and liquidity through the token rather than relying on speculation alone. He pointed out that the company has made significant progress in bringing financial institutions onto the XRP Ledger, which he sees as evidence of their strategy working.
The CEO also credited other companies building within the broader XRP ecosystem for adding to the momentum. He reminded people that XRP was once the second most valuable cryptocurrency by market cap before the SEC filed its lawsuit against Ripple, and he remains confident it can get back there as institutional partnerships and real-world utility continue to expand.
