Ripple CEO Says Diversify Your Portfolio, Holds Solana
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has made some surprising comments about his approach to investing in cryptocurrency. When asked why someone should choose XRP over Solana, he refused to play the crypto tribalism game and instead recommended diversifying one's portfolio.
Garlinghouse told an audience member that he doesn't try to convince people to buy XRP, but rather recommends buying the top five cryptocurrencies and holding them for at least five years. He also disclosed that he owns some Solana (SOL) and considers himself bullish on several cryptocurrencies for different reasons.
When asked about Solana's liquidity, Garlinghouse pointed out that the network has attracted significant capital due to its meme coin activity. However, he emphasized that XRP and Solana can both perform well and that investors should consider holding multiple assets rather than focusing on just one.
