Ripple Escrow Release Set for October 1: $1.5 Billion in XRP Unlocked

Ripple's October 1 escrow release is set to unlock approximately $1.5 billion worth of XRP, according to data from KuCoin.

This monthly event is a scheduled part of Ripple's supply management program, established in 2017 when the company locked 55 billion XRP into escrow contracts.

The upcoming release will make available up to 1 billion XRP, although a significant portion may be returned to new escrow contracts as it has been historically.

Despite this, large investors are showing increased interest in XRP, with whale holdings climbing by over 470 million XRP in just five days, according to Santiment data.
