Ripple Expands RLUSD on Ethereum Amid Supply Adjustments
Ripple has expanded its stablecoin RLUSD on the Ethereum blockchain by minting an additional 15 million units. This move comes as supply adjustments continue between the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, with RLUSD's distribution base appearing to expand rapidly.
According to reports from U.Today, Ripple minted 15 million new RLUSD on the Ethereum network over the past several hours. Meanwhile, 15 million RLUSD were burned on the XRP Ledger in the same period.
The circulating supply of RLUSD by chain is also shifting, with Ethereum-based RLUSD circulation exceeding $712 million. Over the past seven days, 36.5 million RLUSD were minted and 25.3 million were burned on Ethereum, expanding net supply.
Major domestic virtual asset exchanges are also supporting RLUSD trading, including Upbit and Bithumb. These listings have increased accessibility for users, with Ripple recently announcing cooperation with payments infrastructure firm Notabene to integrate RLUSD into its payment platform, Flow.
