Ripple Expands Stablecoin Infrastructure Amid Declining Transfer Volume
Ripple has announced two major initiatives to boost adoption of its U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, even as on-chain transfer activity slows.
The company unveiled Ripple Mint, a platform that enables institutional clients to mint, redeem, bridge, and monitor RLUSD through APIs or a web dashboard.
Ripple also announced a strategic investment in compliance provider Notabene, integrating RLUSD into the firm's institutional payment network.
The launches come at a crucial time for RLUSD, as its market capitalization declined nearly 5% and monthly transfer volume fell 25%, despite growing user adoption.
