Ripple Expands XRP Ledger into AI-Powered Payments with Stripe and Tempo

XRP has gained 3% as Ripple expands its XRP Ledger into AI-driven payments by adding XRP support to the Machine Payments Protocol co-authored by Stripe and Tempo.

The integration makes XRPL a settlement option within MPP, allowing AI agents to make single payments using XRP, issued assets like RLUSD, and Multi-Purpose Tokens.

Ripple released version 1.1 of its XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit, adding support for the Machine Payments Protocol and the Open Wallet Standard.

XRP also supports MPP session payments through XRPL Payment Channels, but stablecoin-based session payments are not yet available and depend on a proposed XRPL upgrade.
