Ripple Integrates MPP into XRPL AI Starter Kit, Enabling Seamless Crypto Transactions
Ripple has expanded its XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit to support a new payment standard developed by Stripe and Tempo, enabling AI agents to pay for online services with XRP and RLUSD. The Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) allows for seamless transactions between AI agents and service providers, eliminating the need for separate crypto payment flows.
The integration of MPP into the XRPL AI Starter Kit version 1.1 brings significant benefits to developers, including support for repeated small payments during sessions through XRP payment channels. This feature reduces the need for individual ledger settlements, making transactions more efficient and cost-effective.
The Open Wallet Standard has also been added, allowing agents to request transactions without private-key access and enforcing spending controls. However, the software remains in beta, and Ripple has not disclosed any commercial customers using the new MPP integration or payment-volume figures.
