Ripple Integrates XRP and RLUSD into Stripe and Tempo's Machine Payments Protocol

Ripple has integrated its XRP token and RLUSD stablecoin into Stripe and Tempo's Machine Payments Protocol, enabling AI agents to make automated payments for data, computing, and other online services.

The move comes after Ripple integrated with Coinbase's x402 payment protocol. The XRPL AI Starter Kit helps developers build agentic payment applications on the XRP Ledger, allowing them to make AI agents pay for various services using crypto.

'Agentic payments will be multi-platform and multi-rail,' said Jazzi Cooper, Ripple's head of product at RippleX. 'Our job is to make XRP and RLUSD first-class options wherever developers are building.'
