Ripple Integrates XRP Payments with Stripe's Machine Payments Protocol
Ripple has expanded its XRP Ledger developer kit to support payments using its native token and RLUSD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin. The updated AI Starter Kit now supports the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), backed by Stripe and Tempo, allowing developers to make one-time or recurring payments on behalf of AI agents.
The new integration enables AI agents to pay for online services using XRP and RLUSD, which are now supported as first-class options. This move is expected to give Ripple a route into applications that charge machines for each request, such as data or computing power.
RippleX head of product Jazzi Cooper stated, 'Our job is to make XRP and RLUSD first-class options wherever developers are building.'
