Ripple Invests in UK Firms to Bolster XRP Ledger Infrastructure

Ripple has announced strategic investments in two British companies, ZILO and Licuido, to expand its XRP Ledger infrastructure. These investments will add regulated record-keeping, issuance, and collateral tools to the XRP Ledger.

ZILO makes software that keeps a fund's official record of who owns which shares, while Licuido runs a platform that lets institutions pledge those shares as collateral instead of selling them.

The two companies already worked with Ripple on its flagship fund launch and helped build the Aviva Investors fund that went live on the XRP Ledger last week. The investment in ZILO provides a trusted record for banks and asset managers, which is necessary for tokenized funds to be accepted as collateral.
