Ripple Invests in ZILO and Licuido to Enhance Capital Markets on XRPL
Ripple has made strategic investments in two UK-based companies, ZILO and Licuido, to expand its capital markets infrastructure on XRPL. The company announced that it had tapped these firms to bring regulated transfer agency, issuance, and collateral mobility to the platform.
ZILO provides technology for managing tokenized assets, while Licuido handles the issuance, distribution, and execution of traditional assets as digital collateral. Ripple's investment in these companies will see the harnessing of their capabilities to further scale tokenization efforts on XRPL.
This move comes after a series of partnerships and investments by Ripple aimed at promoting tokenization and preparing its network for the shift. The company has partnered with Aviva Investors to tokenize fund structures on XRPL, and it is also part of a 54-firm task force formed by the UK government to push tokenization into the country's wholesale financial markets.
