Ripple Meets Regulators Amid XRP Price Struggle
Ripple's chief executive Brad Garlinghouse is set to meet with regulators at the White House on Tuesday, marking a significant shift in the company's relationship with authorities. The meeting comes as Ripple's institutional business continues to grow, with its Ripple Prime and Treasury divisions processing an annual volume of $16 trillion.
Despite this progress, XRP's price has been struggling to stay above the $1 mark, with the token currently trading at a hair above its 52-week low. The gap between Ripple's institutional success and XRP's market performance has never been wider.
The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which was seen as a potential breakthrough for market structure rules, is now viewed as all but stalled. Analysts put the odds of near-term passage at roughly 10 percent, with a procedural Senate vote scheduled for September 15 likely to end in another postponement.
