Ripple Powers Agentic Commerce with XRP and RLUSD Integration

Ripple has integrated its XRP and RLUSD payment infrastructure into the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), an open standard co-authored by Stripe and Tempo.

The integration is made possible through Ripple's XRPL AI Starter Kit, a developer toolkit that enables artificial intelligence agents to initiate autonomous payments on the XRP Ledger using XRP and its dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD.

The kit allows AI agents to make recurring payments and manage wallets across multiple blockchains.

Ripple's Senior Vice President at RippleX described XRPL as infrastructure built for this exact future, saying support for x402 allows agents to pay with XRP and RLUSD today.
