Ripple Prepares for XRP Ledger Payments Upgrade
Ripple is preparing for an upgrade to its XRP Ledger payments system, which will allow asset managers and commercial projects to use Batch V1.1, a feature that groups up to eight transactions together.
The upgrade, set to activate shortly after September 29, enables the all-or-nothing mode, ensuring that every transaction succeeds or fails as a group, avoiding cases where one side of a deal settles while the other fails.
This new feature supports delivery-versus-payment transactions and allows exchanges, wallets, and marketplaces to process service fees alongside customer payments as a single operation.
RippleX's head of engineering, Ayo Akinyele, stated that some projects are already being built with Batch in mind, and activation would allow this work to move closer to production.
