Ripple President Predicts $30 Billion Surge in XRP Ledger Assets
Ripple President Monica Long made bold predictions about the future of the XRP Ledger during the XRPL Seoul conference. She anticipates a significant surge in tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), expecting the market to grow from the current $6 billion to $30 billion. This represents a fivefold increase and follows a substantial rise from $100 million to $1 billion in 2025.
Long also projected a tenfold increase in yearly transactions on the XRP Ledger, reaching 100 million. She attributed this growth to the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) agents conducting transactions on behalf of corporate entities. The XRP Ledger's role as a bridge for assets and a liquidity provider through its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) technology was highlighted as a key factor in this expansion.
Monica Long emphasized the importance of creativity, liquidity, and trust in making XRP stand out. She noted that the more institutions participate, the greater the liquidity on the XRP Ledger, potentially leading to an appreciation in XRP's price. Ripple's Executive Chairman Chris Larsen echoed this sentiment, stressing the triangle of liquidity, trust, and utility as drivers for adoption.
The panel discussion in Seoul gained significant attention, with over 115,000 views on social media, underscoring the growing interest in the institutional adoption and real-world applications of the XRP Ledger.
