Ripple Prime Enters Equity Derivatives with Delta One Business Launch

Share

Ripple Prime has launched its new 'Delta One' business, expanding into traditional financial markets and offering institutional clients access to equity derivatives.

The Delta One service allows institutions such as hedge funds, market makers, asset managers, and ETF issuers to gain exposure to different assets without directly buying and holding them through Total Return Swaps (TRS).

Ripple Prime's new business supports U.S.-listed stocks, major stock indexes, and cryptocurrencies, giving large investors another way to manage their market positions while keeping their stocks and crypto exposure under one prime brokerage relationship.

The biggest change is Ripple Prime's cross-margining system, which brings stock derivatives and crypto exposure under one platform. This allows institutions to access equities, FX, derivatives, fixed income, and digital asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing all through a single counterparty.

Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel said the new service is a natural step for the platform and matches what institutional clients are looking for.
