Ripple Prime Expands Institutional Reach with Brevan Howard Partnership

Ripple Prime has deepened its partnership with Brevan Howard, extending the global alternative investment manager's access to multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services across both traditional and digital markets. This expansion underscores Ripple Prime's strategy to provide institutional financial infrastructure beyond crypto-native trading. Brevan Howard, which manages approximately $35 billion in assets, will now utilize Ripple Prime's platform to streamline operations across various asset classes.

The collaboration aligns with the growing demand for institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure as traditional and digital markets become increasingly interconnected. Alan McGroarty, COO of Brevan Howard Group, highlighted that Ripple Prime's platform offers greater operational ease and capital efficiency for investment teams. This follows Ripple's acquisition of Hidden Road in 2025 for $1.25 billion, which laid the foundation for Ripple Prime's comprehensive services.

Ripple Prime's capabilities have continued to evolve in 2026, including the launch of a Delta One business in August that supports total return swaps across U.S.-listed equities, indices, and digital assets. The platform also supports cross-margining across asset classes, making it a versatile tool for institutional investors. Recent financing activities, such as a $200 million debt facility from Neuberger Specialty Finance and a $275 million senior unsecured notes offering, further support Ripple Prime's expansion.

Despite these institutional advancements, XRP's price has remained relatively stable near $1.50. On October 5, XRP traded around $1.51 with a market capitalization of approximately $95.9 billion, indicating that investors may view the Brevan Howard agreement more as a development for Ripple's financial infrastructure rather than a direct catalyst for XRP demand.
