Ripple Prime Extends Brokerage Services to Brevan Howard
Ripple, the cross-border payments network, has expanded its institutional crypto and asset brokerage services to Brevan Howard, a leading global macro hedge fund. Through Ripple Prime, its prime brokerage business, Ripple is deepening its existing partnership with Brevan Howard to meet growing demand for solutions that bridge traditional and digital markets.
The expanded partnership will provide Brevan Howard with multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services across both traditional and digital asset markets. Ripple Prime was established in 2025 following Ripple’s $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road. The platform supports a wide range of markets, including foreign exchange, derivatives, equities, and digital assets like cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
Ripple Prime offers a unified collateral system, allowing institutions to use assets such as $XRP, $RLUSD stablecoin, tokenized real-world assets, and traditional collateral to manage capital efficiently across different markets. However, the partnership does not guarantee any direct impact on the price of $XRP.
Brevan Howard, known for its global macro strategies, has also been expanding into digital assets. The firm participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment round in 2025 via its affiliates. This collaboration comes as large financial institutions seek regulated infrastructure to enter the cryptocurrency markets.
