Ripple Sends $52M to Mystery Wallet, Follows $1B Escrow Release

Ripple made a significant move on October 2nd when it sent 35 million XRP, valued at around $52.4 million, to an unknown wallet early in the morning.

The transaction was recorded by Whale Alert and confirmed by the ledger, which shows the payment settled from Ripple's account with the ripple.com domain attached to it.

The receiving wallet, opened in December 2024, did not sit on the coins for long. Within three hours, it made three outbound payments to a single address, totaling 6.5 million XRP.

This move comes after Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP from escrow on October 1st, and market observers will be watching how much goes back into escrow.
