Ripple Unveils Mint Platform for Institutional RLUSD Management
Ripple has launched its Mint platform to facilitate institutional management of its US dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD. The platform allows institutions to mint, redeem, and manage RLUSD through either a web interface or direct API integrations.
The company described Ripple Mint as built around the operational preferences of institutional users, with automated workflows available for treasury desks that connect via API and manual controls accessible for teams that prefer the web interface.
RLUSD launched in December 2024 with an initial focus on institutional adoption, and has since attracted retail users. It entered the top 10 US dollar-pegged stablecoins by market capitalization within less than a year of launch and reached its all-time high market capitalization of over $1.8 billion on June 1, 2026.
The launch of Ripple Mint positions RLUSD alongside other stablecoins competing for institutional treasury and payments business. Ripple framed the platform as infrastructure rather than a retail product, emphasizing workflow flexibility as the primary feature for enterprise clients managing digital dollar positions at scale.
