Ripple Unveils MPP Support with AI Starter Kit Update

Ripple has released an update to its XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit, version 1.1, which now supports the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) and the Open Wallet Standard.

This integration enables payments in both XRP and RLUSD, a dollar-backed stablecoin issued by Ripple, as well as cross-chain wallet interoperability through the Open Wallet Standard.

The MPP is an open payment standard developed with Stripe and Tempo. This update also reportedly allows for one-off and recurring XRP payment sessions, but requires a proposed XRPL upgrade to support stablecoin payment sessions.
