Ripple Valuation Surpasses $50 Billion as XRP Struggles to Keep Pace
XRP has been struggling to keep up with its parent company Ripple's valuation, which recently surpassed $50 billion. Despite this, XRP is trading at a relatively low price of $1.39, down from yesterday's gains.
The reason for this discrepancy lies in the mechanics of Ripple's payments network. While it processes cross-border transfers quickly and efficiently, banks don't need to use XRP to access the network. As a result, XRP has not seen significant adoption or growth.
Meanwhile, other cryptocurrencies are gaining traction. LiquidChain, a Layer 3 project, is one example. Its presale has raised over $1 million at $0.014955 per token. While early-stage infrastructure plays carry obvious risk, some traders are attracted to projects like LiquidChain that offer a new approach to liquidity and execution.
The XRP price forecast remains uncertain, with support levels sitting at $1.31-$1.35 and resistance clustering at $1.43-$1.45.
