Ripple's AI-Powered Payment Update Boosts XRP Price
Ripple has announced an update to its XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit, adding support for the Machine Payments Protocol. This protocol, co-created by Stripe and Tempo, enables automated software programs to send money across the web without human intervention.
The update allows AI agents to make instant payments using XRP or the RLUSD stablecoin, eliminating the need for users to fill out online checkout forms. Instead, servers can send prices directly to AI tools, which approve payments and gain access to web data or computing power within 3-5 seconds.
Ripple is positioning its blockchain network as a key player in the machine-to-machine economy, where software agents will be able to make one-time or continuous payments using XRP. Developers can now build AI tools that pay for digital services as needed, using XRP as a primary token.
