Ripple's Escrow Return Puts $1.59 Resistance Under the Spotlight
Ripple's recent return of $700 million XRP to escrow has brought fresh attention to the cryptocurrency's available supply and near-term price structure. The move coincides with a technical setup where XRP is trading near a key resistance area, with several technical analyses identifying a concentration of selling pressure around the $1.54-$1.59 region.
The current XRP price is around $1.49, leaving roughly 7% between the market and the $1.59 resistance identified in several chart analyses. Recent price action has shown repeated attempts to move through the $1.55 area, but those advances have not yet produced a confirmed breakout.
Xaif Crypto has outlined a possible move toward $1.75 if the price clears its resistance zone with sufficient momentum. However, until the market demonstrates that former resistance has turned into support, the $1.44-$1.47 region remains an important reference area.
Ripple's return of $1 billion worth of XRP to escrow reduces the immediate supply impact of October's scheduled release, but the remaining 300 million tokens outside the new escrow contracts still represents an addition to the available supply.
