Ripple's Existing Ties with Financial Giants Could Pay Off with Full Approval
Crypto analyst ChartNerd has drawn attention to Ripple's existing relationships with major financial institutions in light of Circle's announcement of its Arc blockchain. The list of validators for Circle's Arc includes DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, ICE, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, and Sumitomo Corporation. According to ChartNerd, these companies are already connected to Ripple through various partnerships.
Ripple has a longstanding strategic partnership with SBI Group, which spans over a decade and is supported by SBI's 9% equity stake in Ripple. The company also has connections involving BlackRock's BUIDL and RLUSD smart-contract capabilities with Securitize, as well as tokenization pilots with JPMorgan and Ondo.
ChartNerd noted that Mastercard is involved in agentic payments on the XRP Ledger, while Standard Chartered is a longstanding Ripple investor and supporter. He also added DTCC to his discussion, noting that Ripple Prime is a participant in tokenization services.
Ripple has until July 2027 to secure full approval under the OCC guidelines, which is 18 months following its conditional approval in December 2025. If Ripple receives full approval, ChartNerd suggested that it could potentially serve institutions across the asset lifecycle with its existing infrastructure stack.
