Ripple's Institutional Support 'Inevitable', Says Former BlackRock MD
A former BlackRock Managing Director is making a compelling case for Ripple's success in the cross-border payments space, despite divided opinions on the token. Speaking to the UK Crypto Podcast, he emphasized that institutional adoption doesn't require universal acceptance to thrive.
The executive, who currently serves as Managing Director and UK Lead at 21Shares, pointed out that opinions on XRP tend to fall into two extremes: either total conviction in its dominance or outright dismissal. He believes it's inevitable that Ripple will grow, citing the adoption of major institutions already moving in this direction.
The former BlackRock executive also touched on tokenization, highlighting money market tokens as a clear success story due to their ability to eliminate settlement delays and generate yield immediately. He expects this momentum to extend beyond money markets, enabling the tokenization of traditional securities.
