Ripple's adoption and growth have been gaining momentum in recent times, thanks to its innovative approach to cross-border payments. Grayscale has recently spotlighted Ripple as a key player in this space, highlighting its potential for widespread adoption. In an interview with 24/7 CRYPTOCURRENCY WORLD NEWS, Ripple SVP Asheesh Birla made a strong case for the use of Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, and its native cryptocurrency, XRP.

Birla emphasized that RLUSD is designed to provide a more efficient and cost-effective way to settle transactions in US dollars. He noted that traditional correspondent banking systems are often slow and expensive, which can lead to lengthy delays and increased costs for businesses. In contrast, RLUSD offers real-time settlement and lower fees.

The use of XRP as a bridge currency has also been gaining traction, with Birla highlighting its potential to facilitate cross-border payments in emerging markets. He noted that XRP's low latency and high throughput make it an attractive option for businesses looking to expand their operations globally.
