Ripple's XRP Ledger Enters Next Institutional Growth Phase
Ripple President Monica Long highlighted the next big institutional growth phase for the XRP Ledger at the XRP Seoul event, which took place at the Grand Hyatt Seoul with over 5,500 attendees.
The event featured a fireside chat between Long and Christina Chan, Senior Director of Ecosystem Growth at Ripple, discussing how financial institutions are moving on-chain and leveraging the XRP Ledger for collateral mobility, tokenized assets, and payment infrastructure.
Regulatory clarity is driving financial institutions to deploy on-chain infrastructure, with a focus on 24/7 collateral mobility through tokenized money market funds, treasury-backed repos, and cross-border payments enabled by stablecoins.
Ripple is expanding the XRP Ledger's capability stack with permissioned privacy controls, native yield and lending protocols using $XRP/RLUSD, and decentralized exchange (DEX) payment integration handled directly by Ripple to reduce customer complexity.
The XRP Ledger aims to achieve exponential growth over the next year through regional incubators and partnerships with top-tier institutions.
