Ripple's XRP Ledger Gets AI Payments Boost
Ripple's XRP Ledger has been integrated with AI payment tools, positioning it as a player in the agent economy. The company launched an XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit in June, which provides developers with the necessary tools to create software agents that can pay for digital services using XRP or supported tokens.
The update added support for the Machine Payments Protocol, a standard developed by Stripe and Tempo, allowing builders to create software that pays for services as it works. An example of this would be an AI assistant requesting a paid data feed, settling the charge, and then receiving the data.
In contrast, AlphaPepe is using AI to improve token discovery and swaps on its DEX, AlphaSwap Early Access. Eligible ALPE holders can access AI Trending Tokens and AI Daily Briefing features, making it easier for retail traders to navigate the market.
