Ripple's XRP Ledger Readies for Batch V1.1 Upgrade

Ripple's XRP Ledger is on the cusp of a major upgrade with the activation of Batch V1.1, which has already gained support from 30 out of its 35 tracked validators.

The update will enable up to eight transactions to settle atomically and allow exchanges, wallets, and marketplaces to attach service charges directly to customer transactions, streamlining payment processing.

Akinyele stated that 'some projects are already being built with Batch in mind,' implying a significant development effort is underway.

The upgrade's activation countdown began on September 15th at 14:06:41 UTC and is expected to conclude shortly after the same time on September 29th, provided support remains above 80% for the full 14-day window.
