Ripple's 'XRP Seoul 2026' Event Set for October 3 in South Korea

Ripple is set to hold its 'XRP Seoul 2026' event on October 3 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in South Korea, as part of the Korea Blockchain Week. The event will bring together major South Korean financial firms and Ripple representatives to discuss XRP-based digital finance.

The sessions will cover topics such as tokenisation, payments based on crypto payment networks, and decentralised finance (DeFi). Kyobo Securities, Woori Bank, and KakaoBank are listed as participants from South Korea. The event is expected to be a key discussion point for the XRP community, with many anticipating forward-leaning moves in these areas.

Ripple will be represented by several senior executives, including Monica Long, president of Ripple, and Markus Infanger, senior vice president of RippleX. Other participants include external experts from various industries, such as Anchored Finance, Soil, DataVault AI, Biconomy, Evernode, and Flare Networks.

The event is also seen as a starting point for Ripple's October schedule, which includes network upgrades and other key events. The XRP Ledger is targeting next month for the rollout of proposals related to Batch, fixBatchV1_2, and delegated authority. These amendments are expected to be activated on the mainnet by October 9.
